RBMS Preconference Sponsorship Program
The Rare Books and Manuscripts Section of the Association of College & Research Libraries plays a leading role in local, national, and international special collections communities. Approximately 400 rare books and manuscripts librarians will meet in Charlottesville, Virginia from Wednesday, June 17 through Saturday, June 20 for the 50th Anniversary RBMS Preconference.

As a conference sponsor, you will have a targeted reach, measurable returns, and access to our national network of rare books and manuscripts librarians. RBMS Preconference Sponsorship Opportunities
The RBMS Preconference offers several opportunities for high visibility along with your option to provide general conference support at four different levels of giving. Apart from "general conference support," all other sponsorship opportunities are available on a first-come, first-served basis:

- an invitation to send a short list or brochure (12 pages or less) for inclusion in registrants' tote bags (400 copies) or to have 50 copies placed on a "give away" table
All Contributors will receive:
- A complete list of conference registrants with contact information
- A link to their website on the RBMS Preconference website
- Acknowledgment and url listing in the preconference Vade Mecum
- Inclusion in ACRL's ad acknowledging sponsors in American Libraries magazine (readership of over 50,000)
DONORS ($250–$499)
Donors will receive:
- An invitation to send a card or single-page leaflet/brochure for inclusion in registrants' tote bags (400 copies)
- A complete list of conference registrants with contact information

How to Participate in the ABAA Booksellers' Showcase, Wednesday, June 17, 2009
Participation is open to all members of the ABAA in good standing. If you are interested in participating in the showcase, please contact Susan Benne at ABAA Headquarters at 212.944.8291 or sbenne@abaa.org for further information and a registration form. All registration forms must be received by January 16, 2009. If registration applications exceed the number of spaces available (raised from 28 to 30 total), exhibitors will be chosen by lottery and notified after January 23.
The cost is a $500 donation to ACRL/RBMS. Exhibitors are provided with a booth that includes two draped 6' x 30" tables and a printed sign. Wifi will be available.
NOTE: Application for participation in the Booksellers' Showcase is now closed. A listing of the exhibitors who were chosen by lottery is available on the Workshops & Events page of this website. Our thanks go to all the booksellers who applied.! Please look for opportunities to exhibit at future RBMS preconferences.

How to Submit Materials for the RBMS Tote bag
Qualifying sponsors are invited to include materials in the conference tote bag according to instructions for their level of support. Materials for inclusion in tote bags should be sent by 1 June 2008 to:
